Benefiting WOMEN MAKE MOVIES
SCRIPTS GONE WILD is a monthly script reading series where we take a group of suspecting celebs, filmmakers, and influencers - put a movie script and alcohol in their hands - and see what happens! It's a drinking game - any time a reader flubs a line, misses their cue - THEY DRINK! It's a riotous good time that benefits a righteous good cause.
SCRIPTS GONE WILD was founded in 2017 at the Chattanooga Film Festival and now operates at El Cid on Sunset. Previous readings include: Wes Craven's SCREAM and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET, Carl Reiner's SUMMER SCHOOL, Steven Spielberg's JURASSIC PARK, ZOMBIE NIGHTMARE, and Chris Columbus's MRS. DOUBTFIRE.
Due to COVID-19, we are currently performing free live reads weekly, every Wednesday night at 7:30pm PST.
Anyone we think is awesome. Previous readers include: JOEL MCHALE (Community), ROSS MARQUAND (The Walking Dead), KARAN SONI (Deadpool), TOM EVERETT SCOTT (That Thing You Do), TRACIE THOMS (Rent), JIM O'HEIR (Parks and Recreation), C. ROBERT CARGILL (Screenwriter, DOCTOR STRANGE), EMMA KENNEY (Shameless), CHRIS REDD (Saturday Night Live), and BARBARA CRAMPTON (Re-Animator).
The money we raise from our monthly events goes directly to the corresponding charity. Anything you donate here goes to the costs of printing scripts, promoting the shows, and for our inevitable non-sponsored white wine tabs!
